I was about to start a rare political rant, but then thought better of it (I may change my mind later) and decided to take a poll of SoF readers instead.
Question: Who do want to win the upcoming U.S. presidential election, John McCain or Barack Obama?

You'd be able to make much more interesting future charts and graphs if you asked a question where there would be multiple votes for more than one option.
And I think I would have enjoyed the political rant.

If Obama wasn't running and the Democratic candidate was a parrot* who's only talent was an ability to swear in four languages, then I'd vote for the parrot. (Assuming I wasn't still living in Canada and could vote.)
*parrot chosen at random, I just finished reading Crichton's Next.
To be fair, it is possible that the GOP *could* have better ideas, but I can't bring myself to even give them a chance based on what they've done with the last chance they got.

I'm a Bible belt Christian, grew up Southern Baptist, and most of my friends/family disagree with me. I have gathered as much info as possible on the candidates. I have an MD, but I'm in my 20s.
I refuse to make the decision on scare tactics (like many people that I know).
I am sorry to have semi-ranted on your poll, but it makes me sad to see the reasons people vote for a candidate.
McCain x two for this family.
